VIUM CAPITAL RANKS AMONG TOP THREE HUD HEALTHCARE LENDERS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

VIUM closes $916 million across 64 transactions in FY2026, maintaining consistent market share and reinforcing its reputation for reliable execution amid significant growth in the HUD 232 program.

COLUMBUS, OH | November 2026 – VIUM Capital (“VIUM”), a leading national lender focused exclusively on the seniors housing and healthcare commercial real estate sectors, announced today that it has once again ranked among the nation's top HUD Section 232 lenders. For HUD's Fiscal Year 2026, which ended September 30, VIUM ranked #2 nationally in the number of loans closed and #3 in total closed loan volume, marking its third consecutive year among the industry's top three lenders.

‍

VIUM closed 64 HUD LEAN loans totaling approximately $916 million during the fiscal year, representing a substantial increase over FY2025, when the firm closed 44 loans totaling approximately $714 million. This represents year-over-year growth of approximately 45% in transaction count and 28% in closed loan volume.

‍

‍

VIUM's performance comes amid significant expansion of the HUD Section 232 program, which generated approximately $7.15 billion in closed loan volume across 452 transactions in FY2026, compared with approximately $5.96 billion across 337 transactions in FY2025 and $3.15 billion in FY2024. Over this three-year period, annual program volume more than doubled, while VIUM's annual production increased from approximately $345 million to more than $916 million.

‍

Despite this record-setting growth in overall program activity, VIUM has maintained a remarkably consistent share of HUD 232 production, accounting for approximately 13% of closed loan volume and 14% of closed transactions in FY2026. The firm's sustained performance reflects the strength and scalability of its specialized healthcare lending platform and its ability to deliver reliable execution year after year.

‍

“Our ambition has always been to be the nation's leading HUD healthcare lender, and we continue to work toward that goal,” said Steve Kennedy, Co-Founder and Executive Managing Director of VIUM Capital. “As the HUD 232 program has grown significantly, we've continued to increase our production while maintaining a consistently strong market position. Ranking among the top three lenders for three consecutive years reflects the experience and dedication of our team, the trust our clients place in us, and our commitment to reliable execution.”

‍

Brendan Healy, Senior Managing Director at VIUM Capital, added, “We're proud of our sustained performance, but we're certainly not satisfied. We'll continue pushing to improve, strengthen our platform, and build upon that success.”

‍

Including outstanding firm commitments at fiscal year-end, VIUM's HUD production totaled 98 transactions representing approximately $1.35 billion, further demonstrating the strength of the firm's pipeline and continued demand for long-term financing across the seniors housing and healthcare sectors.

‍

VIUM's performance also reflects the continued success of its integrated bridge-to-HUD financing strategy, which provides owners and operators with flexible short-term capital solutions and a pathway to long-term, fixed-rate HUD-insured financing. Combined with the firm's dedicated underwriting, closing, and asset management capabilities, this approach enables VIUM to support clients throughout the financing lifecycle.

‍

“The HUD 232 program remains an essential source of permanent capital for skilled nursing and senior living communities across the country,” said Alison Lemle, Senior Managing Director and Chief Underwriter at VIUM Capital. “As program activity continues to grow, experienced underwriting teams and dependable execution become even more important. We are encouraged by HUD's ongoing efforts to streamline the program, improve processing times, and enhance execution certainty. Our team remains committed to working collaboratively with HUD leadership and our clients to deliver successful outcomes.”

‍

VIUM continues to support efforts to strengthen and modernize the HUD 232 program through its involvement and leadership positions with the Healthcare Mortgagee Advisory Council (HMAC), Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and other national organizations serving the seniors housing and healthcare industry. The firm remains committed to advancing initiatives that improve program efficiency, expand access to financing, and support investment in the nation's seniors housing and healthcare infrastructure.

‍

Since its founding in 2020, VIUM Capital has completed more than $8 billion in seniors housing and healthcare financings nationwide, establishing itself as one of the industry's leading specialized capital providers.
